Create a Mindful Community with the Crim Fitness Foundation 

Create a personal mindfulness practice, and learn how to bring mindfulness into the classroom.

Session 1: Personal Practice, Septemeber 29th, 2017

8:30am- 4:30pm

Community members and educators are invited to build a basic understanding of mindfulness and how to create a personal mindfulness practice. From experiential workshops, participants emerge with the tools necessary to begin or strengthen your personal mindfulness practice to help deal with stress in healthy, productive ways and teach with increased calm and focus. Please wear comfotable and loose-fitting clothing as we will be practicing mindful movemnent together as well. 

 

 

Session 2: Sharing Mindfulness in the Classroom, October 5th, 2017 

8:30am- 4:30pm

This workshop supports educators to develop routines and practices with their students to make their classrooms more mindful learning environments. From this experiential workshop, paticipants emerge with the tools necessary to foster a mindful classroom environment that will support student learning.

 

You are welcome to signup for both sessions if there is availability or please choose between the two. There is a waitlist available if sessions are at capacity. Parking is available at the Ligon Center just past the Conference Room. 

 

The Mindfulness Team at the Crim Fitness Foundation is currently able to provide free training for Flint Community School educators, parents, and volunteers from the 10 partner schools in Flushing, Carman-Ainsworth, Westwood Heights, and Mt. Morris School districts. If you are interested in this training, but are not an educator, parent or volunteer with one of the above listed schools, please send us an email at: mindfulness@crim.org.
